Chest Hospital Kozhikode is the first Tuberculosis and Chest diseases hospital in Kerala, located in the city of Calicut. Satisfying the vision of the late Dr. M.A. Abdulla, the founder of the hospital and a veteran in the field of TB and Chest illnesses, the doctor’s facility has developed complex and keeps on serving poor people, the penniless and the working class of society.
The hospital established on June 1, 1974, founder of Dr. M A Abdulla MBBS, TDD. Dr. M A Abdulla, the first chief and medical Suprenant of the hospital. He continued to hold of office till 26th July 2015. He graduated from Madras medical college and he specializes in respiratory at the Tuberculosis hospital. He commitment has made of revolutionary changes in the progress of Muslims education in Malabar.
The hospital has, at present, a few departments, including Pulmonary Medicine, Tuberculosis, Asthma, and Respiratory Allergy, Thoracic Surgery, Video Assisted Thoracic Surgery, Keyhole Surgery, Intensive Respiratory Care Unit, Sleep Laboratory etc. All departments are equipped with best in class equipment and have incorporated in the most recent innovations in the therapeutic field.
In the year 2018, chest hospital has provided Endobronchial ultrasound (EBUS) facility- the way breaking strategy of ultrasound alongside bronchoscope to picture aviation route divider and structures adjacent it.
